I am Othman Al Tawalbeh , I was born on December 30, 1984. I live in Rasoun village. I passed tawjihi in 2002 and got 77.7 (literary stream). After that, I joined Yarmouk University and my major was English language and Literature. While studying at the university, I was working with my father to help him with my university registration fees. That was my life style till I graduated in 2006. After my graduation, I decided to work individually in our own business as a lorry driver.
I applied for a vacancy at Ajloun Forest Reserve, I was hired as a Duty manager and started working on the 5th of April 2008.
In the beginning, it was a challenge because I had a lot of working hours with minimum wages. I determined to work hard, believing that this will help me reaching my goals.
In 2010, I nominated for a new position which is Tourism Manager at Ajloun Forest Reserve. I was a hard worker and I built great relationships with staff, management, stakeholders, and Visitors. In 2012, I was chosen to be one of the committee to develop the Eco Tourism in the Middle East Countries through holding a training course for 25days in Egypt.
My participation in this training prompted me to pursue my higher education and I got my Master degree in tourism with an excellent degree; this contributed to make me more professional in my work.
On December 2013, I nominated to manage a new project (sharhabil Bin Hasneh Ecopark), which is affiliated to (Jordan Eco Park) organization.
Through hard working, I rehabilitated this project by enhancing the infrastructure , capacity building for staff , and developing the tourism activities.
In 2015, I was nominated by the American Embassy in Amman to represent Jordan in IVLP Program about parks and protected area management on the USA for 3 weeks.
In 2016 I Led Sharhabil bin Hasneh Eco park to be one of the top 100 green destinations on the world and I was chosen as a world Green Destination Ambassador
In 2017, I was representing Jordan at the united Nation General assembly in New York City on international workshop about Sustainable development. My travel expenses were a grant from king Abdullah Box.
In 2018, I got a new position with the Royal society for Conservation of Nature Ajloun Forest Reserve Manager & the Royal Academy for Conservation of Nature. On July 2018, I applied to nominate Ajloun Forest Reserve on the Green Destination Competition and we got the answer that our Reserve has been selected among 100 green Destination for the year 2018.
Also, I contributed to admit Ajloun Forest Reserve to IUCN green List. By the end of 2018 I participated at the UNWTO Conference in Bahrain to talk about Ajloun Forest Reserve as a successful story.
In 2019, I attended a training Course about Leadership At Sand Hurst College in the UK to represent RSCN and I was honored to be chosen as a major participant out of 130 originations and civil societies. Also, I was honored to be chosen as a successful story and was filmed by Jordan Investment Committee to speak about my role in developing the local community projects.
I had the honor of meeting King Abdullah II during his visit to Ajloun Governorate.
In 2020, I had the honor to host Queen Rania Al Abdullah at the Royal Academy for the Conservation of Nature.
In 2021, I participated at the first international forum in Morocco to held lectures and workshop about reserve management and I was an international jury member to discuss a master thesis in ecotourism in Morocco.
I am a successful story for youth due to my achievements. Also, I am a speaker about the role of Nature Reserves in developing Local communities. Moreover; I get a number of thankful trophies for my effort and contribution from different entities.
