Academic Participation from Yarmouk University in the ICCA Middle East Summit 2026 Entitled “Resilience: Business Tourism During Crises” 

Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University, participated in the activities of the ICCA Middle East Summit 2026, organized by the Jordan Tourism Board in partnership with the International Congress and Convention Association (ICCA). The summit was held on June 10, 2026, at the King Hussein Bin Talal Convention Centre at the Dead Sea.

The summit was convened under the theme “Resilience: Business Tourism During Crises” and is considered one of the region’s most prominent specialized events in the Meetings, Incentives, Conferences, and Exhibitions (MICE) sector. It brought together an elite group of decision-makers and experts from across the region to exchange knowledge, strengthen strategic partnerships, and support efforts to promote Jordan as a leading regional and international destination for hosting events and conferences.

Dr. Al-Saad participated in specialized discussion sessions focused on tourism crisis management and resilience in conference tourism. The discussions highlighted the importance of tourism crisis management in supporting the economic sustainability of tourism and hospitality businesses, as well as in strengthening business partnerships within the tourism and hospitality industry.

During his participation, Dr. Al-Saad also presented the efforts of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University in developing academic programs related to sustainable tourism and destination management. He further emphasized the university’s commitment to keeping pace with modern global trends in tourism and hospitality education and aligning them with labor market needs.
