End of Field Training Discussions for the First Semester 24/25

On Monday, January 20, 2025, the discussions of students for the first and second packages of field training courses ended. A total of 53 students participated in the discussions, which were held over five days. The students were distributed across 15 training entities (hotels), all of which are five-star establishments in the governorates of Amman and Aqaba. The discussion committee included all faculty members of the department, in addition to the training supervisors. The discussions reviewed the students' experiences, knowledge, and skills acquired. The committee praised all the students for presenting a bright and positive image of the Hotel Management Department at Yarmouk University. All responses from the training supervisors in the hotels were full of praise and thanks for the trainee students. It is worth noting that a large number of the trainee students received job offers at the end of the training period.

Inspection Tour for Hotel Management Students in Amman

 

Reflecting the vision and goals of the Hotel Management Department to enhance outcomes with the labor market and continuing its role in strengthening and empowering its relationship with employers, the department conducted its fifth periodic visit for the first semester of the academic year 24/25. The visit included Crowne Plaza Amman, The Ritz-Carlton, Bristol, and Hilton hotels. The visit included Professor Dr. Omar Ananzeh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Professor Dr. Hikmat Shatnawi, Dr. Omar Taha, Head of the Hotel Management Department, and Mr. Mohammad Jabateh, Field Training Supervisor.

The visit aimed to inspect the conditions of the students, monitor the training process, and meet with training managers. Discussions were held regarding the training plans for the upcoming semester and its mechanisms, which will start at the beginning of March. The discussions also included how to facilitate the monitoring and follow-up process for the trainee students through the integration of digital tracking operations for the trainees.
