The Heritage Club at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Visits the Jordanian Heritage Museum at Yarmouk University
As part of extracurricular activities to enhance cultural and heritage awareness among students, the Heritage Club at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized a visit to the Jordanian Heritage Museumat Yarmouk University on Wednesday, December 8, 2024. The visit was supervised by Dr. Fakhrieh Darabseh and Miss Fatima Al- Kifrin who joined members of the heritage club and other interested students
The objective of this visit was to familiarize students with Jordan's rich history and ancient heritage, during which they explored a wide array of archaeological and historical artifacts that illustrate the evolution of civilizations in the country. The visit also featured discussions on the importance of preserving cultural heritage and its role in enhancing national identity.
This activity aligns with the vision of the University President, Professor Islam Masad, who emphasizes the significance of activating student clubs as anessential part of developing students' skills, shaping their personalities, and broadening their cultural and knowledge horizons.
Dr. Fakhrieh Darabseh expressed her gratitude and appreciation to the management of the Jordanian Heritage Museum for their warm welcome and cooperation, highlighting the importance of such visits in connecting theoretical knowledge with practical experience and fostering students' connection to their national heritage.
