Yarmouk's Tourism Holds Specialized Training Courses for its Graduates
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University organized a number of free training courses for graduates of the college, dealing with the topics of air ticket booking systems Amadeus, Galileo and Opera, in an effort to enhance the capabilities of the graduates and help them develop their skills, making them more capable of engaging in the local and international labor market efficiently and competently.
The courses held in the college laboratories included training the participants on the Amadeus system, as these courses provided participants with comprehensive information about the Amadeus air ticket booking program and how to benefit from it.
30 graduates of Bachelor's and Master's degrees at the college participated in the two-week course, including those representing official bodies, private entrepreneurs, people with ideas for potential tourism projects, in addition to some unemployed students who have the desire and readiness to work in the tourism sector.
After the end of the course, the participants received the Amadeus International Certificate for Flight Bookings at Amadeus' headquarters in Amman.
The Dean of the College, Dr. Akram Rawashdeh, stated that the college's organization of such courses came from its keenness to sustain the relationship between the college and its graduates on the one hand, and make them able to prove their competence and abilities in the labor market and get job opportunities in the tourism and hotel sector on the other, which reflects the distinguished level of educational standards at Yarmouk University, which is in line with the standards of the local, Arab and international labor market.
