The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Enhances Employment Opportunities for Its Students Through Job-Placement Training Programs

In order to strengthen the collaboration between Yarmouk University, represented by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, and the tourism and hospitality sector, a coordination has been established with Sagnia Bay Hilton Hotel, Amal Abu Ashour Travel and Tourism Office, and Rotana Hotel to implement training programs that culminate in employment for students of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, under the direct supervision of the Departments of Tourism and Travel and Hotel Management.
This collaboration aims to practically and professionally prepare students through training programs in real work environments, thereby enhancing their skills and readiness for both local and international labor markets. It also provides students with an opportunity to familiarize themselves with the latest practices in hospitality, travel agency operations, and hotel management. The signed agreements include a clause allowing the possibility of employing trainees within the partner institutions or recommending them to other suitable organizations in the tourism and hospitality sector, thus supporting sustainable career opportunities for the faculty’s graduates.
Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, emphasized that this collaboration aligns with the faculty’s strategic direction to strengthen partnerships with leading institutions in the tourism sector. He noted that training programs leading to employment represent a strategic step in empowering youth and professionally preparing them, thereby enhancing their ability to enter the workforce efficiently. This initiative is a practical reflection of the faculty’s objectives to promote its students and prepare them for the labor market, in line with the performance indicators derived from the Faculty’s 2025 Implementation Plan.
Representatives from Sagnia Bay Hilton Hotel, Amal Abu Ashour Travel and Tourism Office, and Rotana Hotel expressed their pride in this fruitful collaboration, which contributes to developing a generation of professionally and academically qualified talents. They affirmed their commitment to supporting ongoing training programs and providing a supportive and motivating work environment.
In a statement on behalf of the trainees, students expressed their gratitude to the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for providing this valuable opportunity, which allows them to engage directly with a professional work environment and apply the knowledge gained in classrooms. They confirmed that this experience will help shape their personal development and build their practical expertise, opening wide prospects for their professional future in the tourism and hospitality sector.
