Yarmouk University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with Grand Hyatt Amman for Training and Employment of the Tourism and Hotel Management Students

Yarmouk University, represented by the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, on behalf of the University President, Prof. Dr. Malik Al-Sharairi, signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Grand Hyatt Amman, represented by Deputy General Manager Mr. Wael Dlahmeh. The agreement aims to develop practical training programs for the faculty’s students and prepare them effectively for the hospitality and tourism job market.
The MOU reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing students’ practical and applied skills and bridging the gap between academic study and hands-on training in leading hospitality institutions, ensuring the graduation of qualified professionals capable of meeting the needs of the tourism sector in Jordan and the region.
The agreement provides a comprehensive training environment for students of Hospitality Management and Event Management programs, enabling them to gain practical experience in various hotel departments according to international hospitality standards. It also helps enhance their professional readiness by developing communication, guest service, and hotel operations management skills.
Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad emphasized that the signing aligns with the university’s strategy to build effective partnerships with the private sector, highlighting the importance of cooperating with a prestigious hotel like Grand Hyatt Amman to offer high-quality training opportunities, supporting the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels’ vision to enhance applied education and student competitiveness locally and regionally.
Mr. Wael Dlahmeh expressed Grand Hyatt Amman’s pride in this partnership, confirming the hotel’s commitment to supporting and developing young talents by providing a practical training environment to gain the necessary experience in the hospitality sector. He added that the MOU will contribute to strengthening the qualified workforce in Jordan’s tourism sector.
The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Furat Al-Muhaysen, Assistant Dean for Agreements, and Mr. Mohammad Jabateh, Training Supervisor at the Faculty, and Mr. Nizar Ghaith, Human Resources Manager of the hotel.
