Yarmouk University and The Ritz-Carlton Amman Sign a Memorandum of Understanding to Enhance Hotel Training for Tourism and Hospitality Students

Yarmouk University and The Ritz-Carlton Amman signed a memorandum of understanding to enhance cooperation in hotel training and the exchange of expertise. This collaboration aims to develop students' skills and improve their readiness for the job market according to the highest international standards in the hospitality sector.
The memorandum was signed by the university's president, Prof. Dr. Malek Al-Sharairi, and the hotel's general manager, Dimitrios Koutsifakos.
Al-Sharairi noted that this memorandum reflects the university's commitment to strengthening its strategic partnerships with leading hotel institutions. This partnership positively impacts the development of the educational and training process and provides students with high-quality practical opportunities that meet the demands of the local and regional job market.
The dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, emphasized that this memorandum represents a significant step towards enhancing students' practical skills and contributing to their professional development.
For his part, Mr. Koutsifakos expressed his pride in collaborating with Yarmouk University, noting the hotel's commitment to supporting practical training programs and transferring expertise to students.
In turn, the hotel's Training Manager, Mays Ghraibeh, emphasized the importance of this partnership in developing training programs and providing high-quality training opportunities within the hotel's various departments.
The memorandum aims to develop frameworks for cooperation between the two parties in the areas of hotel training and qualification, the exchange of knowledge and practical experience, and the organization of joint workshops and training courses.
Under the memorandum, the two parties will collaborate on implementing specialized training programs for university students, providing them with opportunities for practical training within the hotel's facilities, thus enhancing their readiness for the job market.
