Yarmouk Tourism organizes a workshop entitled "Communication Skills of the Tour Guide from Traditional to Professional Role"

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels held a series of lectures aimed at increasing students' knowledge, and skills and promoting diverse values. Among these lectures, Dr. Sawsan Haider Khreis gave a lecture entitled (Communication Skills of the Tour Guide from Traditional to Professional Role) The lecture aimed to familiarize the college students with the traditional tasks assumed by the tour guide and then reviewed how the tour guide turns into a professional tour guide.

 This lecture was based on Dr. Khreis's research on tour tour-guiding profession. The most important indicators of professionalism in the tourist guide are its ability to interpret and tell the story of the place and differentiate between each tourist group according to demographic indicators, thus knowing how to deal with them and understanding the cultural differences and the different meanings of the body language as well as its superior ability to organize tourists, enjoy a sense of humor and integrate the tourist group with activities that meet their interests.
