Yarmouk University Hosts its International Conference on Green Tourism and Investment
Under the patronage of the president of Yarmouk University Prof. Islam Massad, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized the 8th Jordanian International Conference on Tourism and Hospitality 2024, titled “Green Tourism and Investment.” The conference brought together researchers and experts in tourism and hospitality from within Jordan and abroad.
Prof. Akram Rawashdeh, Dean of the Faculty, explained that the conference aimed to discuss the theme of "Tourism and Green Investment," as adopted by the World Tourism Organization for World Tourism Day 2023. Over two days, the event addressed topics such as green practices in tourism and hospitality, artificial intelligence, sustainable tourism, and green investment.
The conference hosted 23 participants from five countries—Egypt, Lebanon, Saudi Arabia, Algeria, and the United States—presenting 13 scientific papers, together with experts from various Jordanian institutions.
