Ma’in Tourist Resort and Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Collaborate to Offer Training and Career Opportunities for Students
The Resort management has made all essential arrangements to train students, improve their practical skills in the hospitality industry, and offer employment opportunities to those who wish to pursue a career in this field.
In parallel, Prof. Akram Rawashdeh, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, underscored the significance of this opportunity and the support extended by the resort’s management. These initiatives are designed to provide students with the essential knowledge, skills, and hands-on experience required to thrive in the hospitality industry, enabling them to seamlessly enter local, regional, and international job markets. Prof. Rawashdeh also extended his gratitude to the Deputy General Manager of Ma’in Resort for visiting Yarmouk University to engage with the students, emphasizing the resort’s dedication and strong sense of responsibility in training and hiring graduates from the faculty.
The meeting was also attended by Prof. Omar Al-Ananzeh, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels; Mr. Zaher Khasawneh, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs, Training, and Agreements; Dr. Omar Taha, Head of the Hotel Management Department; and the department’s hotel training supervisors, Mr. Khaled Al-Rifai and Mr. Mohammad Jba’ateh.
As part of its commitment to offering students unparalleled training opportunities in globally recognized Jordanian hotels, the Hotel Management Department at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized an introductory meeting for second-semester field training students. The event, held in collaboration with Ma’in Tourist Resort, was attended by the resort’s Deputy General Manager, Mr. Mohammad Al-Shorman, who announced the resort’s readiness to host 10 students for hands-on training across key departments such as restaurants, reception, room service, and housekeeping. This initiative is designed to provide students with the practical skills and expertise essential for success in the hospitality industry.
