The Hotel Management Department Hosts a Hotel Industry Expert

The Hotel Management Department hosted Mr. Safwan Haloush, an expert in the hotel industry, who serves as the Regional Director of the Boudl Hotel Group, which owns more than 60 hotels in the Arabian Gulf. Mr. Safwan met with hotel management students as a guest lecturer in the Hotel Information Systems course, in which students are trained on the Opera Cloud system. The lecture included a valuable insight into how to employ PMS systems in revenue management and cost control, considering them the cornerstone of hotel facility management.

Mr. Haloush also addressed the importance of using computer systems in hotel facility management for integration, follow-up, and administrative supervision, in addition to their ability to provide financial forecasts. At the end of the meeting, Dr. Omar Taha, Head of the Hotel Management Department, thanked Mr. Safwan on behalf of the department for his attendance and his keenness to provide knowledge and benefit to the students, as well as for accepting the invitation of the course instructor, Furat Al-Muhaisen. He expressed his willingness to provide further cooperation in the field of knowledge and skills.
