IHG Group Holds Training Workshop for Hotel Management Students

As part of the Hotel Management Department's efforts to strengthen its partnership with the labor market, the College of Tourism and Hotel Management hosted the "Discover IHG" initiative on Tuesday, May 20, 2025, at IHG Jordan hotels, including InterContinental Jordan, InterContinental Aqaba, Crowne Plaza Amman, Abdali Boulevard Hotel, Crowne Plaza Dead Sea, Holiday Inn Dead Sea, and Petra Guest House. This initiative aims to strengthen its partnership with the educational sector, providing students and recent graduates with the opportunity to experience IHG Life firsthand, in addition to free access to the IHG educational platform.

This initiative was implemented by Mr. Omar Shatnawi, Regional Director of Learning and Development at the InterContinental Group, who gave the hotel management students a presentation on the global IHG Group. Participants gained valuable insights into the hospitality industry, emerging trends, experience, and a comprehensive overview of hotel operations. At the end of the meeting, the Hotel Management Department thanked the initiative's representative, Mr. Omar Shatnawi, for the unique opportunity he provided to gain a deeper understanding of the hotel sector from specialists. It was agreed to strengthen and expand the current partnership with IHG Jordan in the field of training and employment.
