Mohammad Al-Badarna… An Academic from Yarmouk University Wins Best Research Paper Award at an International Conference in France

Dr. Mohammad Al-Badarna, a faculty member in the Department of Tourism and Travel at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Yarmouk University, received the Best Research Paper Award at the 41st International Conference on Science, Technology, Social and Human Sciences held in Paris, France, organized by the International Academy for Advancement in Engineering and Science.

His paper was titled: "Modeling Local Hotel Guests’ Loyalty: The Moderating Effect of Hedonic Pricing."The study aimed to explore the impact of service quality on hotel guests’ loyalty to both the hotel and the destination. It introduced a new classification of service factors into tangible and intangible services. The study used hedonic pricing characteristics as a moderating factor in the relationship between service quality and loyalty.

The results showed that intangible services had a significant impact on tourists’ loyalty to both the hotel and the destination, while tangible services had no significant effect. Additionally, price was found to significantly moderate the relationship between intangible services and loyalty.
