Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Holds an Orientation Lecture on the University Proficiency Exam for Prospective Students

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University held an orientation lecture for its prospective graduates about the University Proficiency Exam, with the aim of enhancing their academic and practical skills, and strengthening their competencies in preparation for taking the exam and entering the job market with efficiency and excellence.
The lecture provided a comprehensive overview of the University Proficiency Exam, its objectives, and its role in assessing learning outcomes. It also explained the exam’s format, structure, the competencies it covers, and the target group of students. In addition, detailed instructions were given on exam regulations and optimal preparation steps.
In his remarks, Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, emphasized the importance of this exam as a national tool for measuring graduates’ performance and evaluating the extent to which academic programs achieve their intended outcomes. He highlighted the need for students to prepare diligently and to further develop their analytical and cognitive skills.
Heads of academic departments, the Vice Dean, and Assistant Deans also delivered guidance speeches to the students, focusing on the importance of using this stage to strengthen both their theoretical knowledge and practical experience, and to act responsibly to achieve results worthy of the reputation of the Faculty and University.
At the end of the lecture, the floor was opened for discussion, and students’ questions regarding the nature of the exam questions and its subject areas were addressed. The session witnessed positive interaction, reflecting the students’ eagerness to achieve excellence and readiness.
