Participation of the Hospitality Management Department Team in the Jordanian Universities Entrepreneurship Competition
The Hospitality Management Department participated in the Jordanian Universities Entrepreneurship Competition after the qualification of its team to the final rounds, through their entrepreneurial project titled: “Our Food Waste: A Sustainable Value.”
This competition was launched following an invitation from the Queen Rania Center for Entrepreneurship at Princess Sumaya University for Technology, aiming to highlight the ideas of Jordanian youth and support them in transforming these ideas into tangible realities that contribute to advancing the national economy. The competition represents a valuable opportunity for Yarmouk University students to enhance their entrepreneurial skills and connect their ideas to real-world applications.
The participating students received training on idea creation, development, and mechanisms for transforming ideas into viable business projects. The team consisted of Dr. Omar Taha as general supervisor, and students Ibrahim Rayahneh, Nour Qzaih, Musab Dudin, and Mohammad Obeidat. The team had successfully passed the preliminary rounds and presented their project before the judging panel representing the participating universities, as part of the 16th edition of the Global Entrepreneurship Week 2025 in Jordan, held from 17–23 November 2025.
We extend our best wishes for success to our students and hope they achieve distinguished results at the level of Jordanian universities.
