“Yarmouk Tourism” Lists the Museum of Jordanian Heritage and the Jordanian Natural History Museum on TripAdvisor Platform – Links
The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels has listed both the Museum of Jordanian Heritage, affiliated with the Faculty of Archaeology and Anthropology, and the Jordanian Natural History Museum, affiliated with the Faculty of Science, on the global TripAdvisor platform. This initiative aims to strengthen the university’s presence on the map of cultural and educational tourism and to facilitate access for visitors and interested audiences to information about these museums.
The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, stated that listing the two museums on TripAdvisor represents a significant achievement that reflects the university’s commitment to enhancing its role in disseminating knowledge and serving the community. He noted that this step is part of the Faculty’s vision to leverage global digital platforms to promote educational tourism within the university.
He added that featuring the museums on the platform will help showcase their collections to a worldwide audience and enable visitors to view photos, detailed descriptions, and user reviews. This, in turn, contributes to increasing engagement and improving the services provided to students, visitors, and researchers.
The Museum of Jordanian Heritage is considered one of the most important university museums specializing in documenting Jordan’s tangible and intangible heritage, housing extensive collections that reflect the history of social life in the Kingdom. Meanwhile, the Jordanian Natural History Museum offers a unique scientific model that introduces visitors to Jordan’s biodiversity and its diverse natural environments.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels seeks to support educational tourism within the university and to strengthen Yarmouk University’s position as a leading knowledge and cultural hub at both the local and international levels.
It is worth noting that TripAdvisor is one of the world’s largest and most well-known travel and tourism platforms, operating as both a website and a mobile application that provides content based on users’ experiences and reviews.
