“Yarmouk Tourism” Lists Yarmouk University Museums on TripAdvisor
In response to the directives of the University President, Prof. Dr. Malik Al-Sharairi, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, has listed the Museum of Jordanian Heritage, affiliated with the Faculty of Archaeology and Anthropology, and the Jordanian Natural History Museum, affiliated with the Faculty of Science, on the global platform TripAdvisor.
This significant step aims to enhance the university’s presence on the map of cultural and educational tourism and to facilitate access for visitors and interested individuals to detailed information about these museums.
The Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels emphasized that listing both museums on TripAdvisor is an achievement reflecting the university’s commitment to promoting knowledge and serving the community. He noted that this initiative aligns with the faculty’s vision to utilize global digital platforms in promoting educational tourism within the university.
Al-Saad explained that adding the museums to the platform will help showcase their collections to a global audience, allowing visitors to view photos, detailed descriptions, and reviews contributing to increased engagement and the improvement of services offered to students, visitors, and researchers
The Museum of Jordanian Heritage is considered one of the most prominent academic museums dedicated to documenting Jordan’s tangible and intangible heritage, featuring extensive collections that reflect the social history of the country.
Meanwhile, the Jordanian Natural History Museum offers a unique scientific experience that introduces visitors to Jordan’s biodiversity and various natural environments.
Through this initiative, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels aims to support educational tourism on campus and to strengthen Yarmouk University’s presence as a leading intellectual and cultural hub at both the local and international levels.
