Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Organizes a Workshop Titled “Human Relations in the Workplace”

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University organized a workshop on Sunday, December 14, titled “Human Relations in the Workplace”, held at the college building with the attendance of several faculty members and students.

The workshop aimed to highlight the importance of building positive human relationships in the workplace and to enhance effective communication skills among individuals, contributing to improved job performance and creating a healthy work environment based on trust and cooperation.

The workshop was presented by Dr. Omar Taha, who addressed several key topics, including: the concept of human relations, self-confidence, effective communication, and the impact of technology on social relationships in the workplace.

Dr. Omar Taha emphasized during the workshop that human relations in the workplace are not limited to superficial communication but include building mutual trust, self-acceptance, and respect for diversity among individuals, which positively reflects on performance quality and job satisfaction. He also pointed out that modern technology and social media can have a dual effect; while they facilitate communication, excessive use may lead to weakened real relationships if not managed consciously.

This workshop comes as part of the faculty’s efforts to develop students’ skills and prepare them for the labor market in line with contemporary requirements.
