A Field Visit to Al-Thakereen and Farah Travel & Tourism Offices

In a move to strengthen ties with the tourism sector and enhance practical training programs, Dr. Mohammad Abuhjeeleh, instructor of the Field Training in Travel Agencies course at the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University, conducted a field visit to Al- Thakereen Travel and Tourism Office and Farah Travel and Tourism Office.

During the visit, Dr. Abuhjeeleh met with the manager of both offices to discuss avenues for cooperation in student training and ways to provide practical opportunities that prepare students for integration into the job market. The visit also included a review of the operational workflows and services offered by the offices.

Dr. Abuhjeeleh emphasized the importance of such cooperation in bridging the gap between academic knowledge and professional practice. He noted that direct student exposure to real work environments plays a crucial role in refining their skills and enhancing their career prospects. He also highlighted the Faculty’s commitment to strengthening partnerships with leading tourism institutions to ensure its curricula keep pace with the latest professional practices in the field.

For his part, the manager of the two offices welcomed the initiative and expressed full readiness to provide comprehensive support for practical training programs.
