Yarmouk University's Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Visits Laureate Travel and Tourism to Enhance Practical Training Programs

In line with its ongoing efforts to strengthen partnerships with tourism sector institutions and to fulfill the requirements of field training, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University organized a field visit to Laureate Travel and Tourism office. The visiting delegation was headed by the Assistant Dean for Quality Affairs and Instructor of the Field Training Course in Airline Reservation Systems, Mr. Zaher Khasawneh, and the Instructor of the Field Training Course in Travel and Tourism Agencies, Dr. Mohammad Abuhjeeleh.
During the visit, meetings were held with the office management and specialized teams working in the fields of flight reservations, ticketing, and tourism program design. Discussions focused on exploring ways to enhance cooperation in order to provide high-quality training opportunities for students, enabling them to develop their skills in global reservation systems, customer service, and technical operational mechanisms.
Mr. Zaher Khasawneh emphasized the role of such visits in integrating theoretical knowledge with practical application, noting that training at prestigious institutions forms a crucial foundation for preparing qualified personnel who meet the needs of the tourism job market.
For his part, Dr. Mohammad Abuhjeeleh clarified that this initiative falls within the Faculty's plan to strengthen ties with sector partners, highlighting the students' keen interest in exploring the practical aspects of modern marketing, tour organization, and customer service.
In turn, the management of Laureate Travel and Tourism welcomed the visit, expressing its full readiness to provide a supportive training environment that allows students to gain real practical experience and enhances their qualification prospects for the job market.
This visit is part of a series of field meetings conducted by the Faculty to solidify cooperation with the tourism sector and elevate the level of educational outcomes in line with the rapid and successive developments in the field of tourism and travel.
