The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organizes an introductory session for the "Skills for Tourism" program to enhance the professional readiness of its students.

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels and the Center for Sustainable Development at the university, in cooperation with the Haya Cultural Center, organized a comprehensive introductory session for the "Skills for Tourism" program, funded by Google and implemented by SPARK international organization. This initiative reflects the university's ongoing commitment to aligning educational outcomes with the actual needs of the labor market and developing the technical skills of its students and graduates.

The program aims to empower young and underprivileged groups by providing them with a comprehensive package of specialized digital skills in e-tourism, along with soft skills and capacity-building programs that utilize artificial intelligence technologies in the tourism sector. This contributes to enhancing the competitiveness of graduates and equipping them to enter the job market with modern administrative and organizational skills.

During the session, Haya Cultural Center team presented a comprehensive overview of the registration process on the educational platform and how to benefit from the available training content, emphasizing the importance of digital transformation in shaping the future of tourism professions. The Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, emphasized the pioneering role played by Yarmouk University in supporting these initiatives that motivate students to engage in self-learning and digital learning, noting that this partnership between academic institutions, community centers and international organizations is a fundamental pillar in qualifying human resources and developing the tourism sector, in line with global technological developments.
