Tourism Students Plant 100 Roses as Part of the "Green Tourism Faculty" Initiative

In line with the directives of His Royal Highness Prince Hussein, may God protect him, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, sponsored the "Green Tourism Faculty" initiative. Organized by the Department of Tourism and Travel under the supervision of the Dean and the Head of the Department of Tourism and Travel, Dr. Sawsan Khreis, the initiative involved planting 100 roses along the faculty entrance. It also included cleaning and weeding the entrance area to promote environmental awareness and teamwork.

Al-Saad stated that organizing this initiative reflects the university's commitment to guiding students towards developing and implementing pioneering initiatives that serve and develop the community, and to enhancing their environmental awareness in accordance with the Sustainable Development Goals.

Khreis pointed out the importance of this initiative in increasing the green space on campus and contributing to a healthier environment. She explained that implementing this initiative is a practical application of the concepts of leadership and giving back. She also praised the students' enthusiasm and participation in the initiative, and their eagerness to actively engage in the planting activities.

A large number of male and female students from the Tourism Ethics and Legislation course and the Leadership and Entrepreneurship in Tourism course participated in the initiative.
