Introduction:

The tourism industry has grown and diversified over the past few decades, becoming one of the largest and fastest- growing economic sectors in the world, and an important part of international and national economies. In its latest long-term forecasts for future tourism trends (tourism towards 2030), the United Nations World Tourism Organization (UNWTO) predicts that the number of foreign arrivals will reach nearly 1.8 billion by 2030, with an average annual increase of 3.3 percent from 2010 to 2030. Where changes, dynamics, and future trends affect tourism management, development, and growth, academics and experts consider that it is important to shed light on the latest researches in the field of tourism development, changes, trends, future prospects, and growth prospects.

To face the changing trends in the different fields of life, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University in Irbid, Jordan, decided to hold its 7th conference in the future trends of the tourism and hospitality industry. Therefore, this conference focuses on the major trends and movements in the tourism industry as focal points of the sessions. Furthermore, the conference seeks to provide a forum for the exchange of best practices in addition to the formation and creation of new collaborative relationships between the various academics.

 

 

Conference goals:

  1. To discuss the latest improvements in the tourism and hospitality sectors in light of the changes that the world has witnessed in recent years at the local, regional and international levels.
  2. To view the future trends of the tourism and hospitality sectors, such as dealing with crises, the use of modern technology, innovative methods of marketing, and competitive advantage.
  3. To present some successstories of countries and tourist destinations that havewisely dealt with the crises that have affected the world in the past few years.
  4. to create effective communication channels between researchers at the local, regional and international levels to encourage academic and research.

Publication opportunities:

  • Presented papers will be published in the Conference Proceedings in a special issue of the conference.
  • Distinguished papers will be sent to " Abhath Al- Yarmouk" Journal for publication consideration.
  • A special issue in SHEDET Journal (a Scopus indexed) for distinguished papers written in English.

      

 

Submission Guidelines

  • Papers submitted must be prepared in either Arabic or English and should be free of grammatical, spelling and punctuation errors.
  • Abstracts will be limited to a maximum of 150-200 words in Times New Roman, 12-point font (Simplified Arabic, 14-point font, if written in Arabic), one-inch margin (2.54 cm) all around. References and citations should be in APA-style format.
  • The abstract submitted should clearly indicate the research problem, objectives, significance, methods, results and conclusions.
  • Provide 3 to 8 keywords that efficiently represent the content of the abstract.
  • Submissions must be in Microsoft Word format (2007 or newer version).
  • The length of the full text paper should not exceed 6000 words count, single-spaced, Times New Roman, font size 12 (Simplified Arabic, 14-point font, if written in Arabic), one-inch margin (2.54 cm) all around, including tables, figures and references. Papers in excess of this length will not be accepted.
  • Submitted papers must not have been previously published or currently submitted for publication elsewhere. Authors are free to publish their work in journals after the completion of the conference.
  • All submissions will go through a blind review process, and will be evaluated for originality, relevance, rigor, scholarly contribution and practical implications.
