Tourism and Hotels holds an English language course in the field of air hospitality for its students in cooperation with the Specific Council for Tourism and Travel in the Arab Trainers Union and Al-Qsour Academy
In line with the ongoing initiatives by the College of Tourism and Hotels to ensure the continuity of its courses and safeguard the future of its students, a new program has been launched to enhance language skills. In collaboration with the Specific Council for Tourism, Hotels, and Travel within the Arab Trainers Union and Al-Qsour Academy, the college organized a course focused on teaching language skills pertinent to air hospitality. This course is designed to equip students with the foundational knowledge and linguistic requirements of the air hospitality sector, thereby improving their understanding of key terminology and fostering effective communication in English. Participants will engage in oral communication exercises, role-playing scenarios, and listening activities led by industry experts.
Prof. Akram Rawashdeh, Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, emphasized that this workshop was developed in response to students' needs for enhanced English language skills. The first phase of the course includes 20 students from various specializations, including tourism management, hotel management, and tour guidance. This initiative aligns with the university and college's vision to refine the linguistic competencies of students, preparing them for their professional journeys post-graduation. Dr. Shadi Shawahin, Chairman of the Specific Council for Tourism, Hotels, and Travel, highlighted the council's commitment to promoting tourism culture across Arab nations by equipping students with essential skills in communication, reservations, program design, and language proficiency. Thus, this course represents a collaborative effort between the university and the council to support students aspiring to careers in air hospitality.
