A group of students from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University participated in the "Future Leaders in the Tourism Sector" workshop, organized by the Department of Tourism Management at the University of Jordan in collaboration with Yarmouk University and Jordan Falcon Travel and Tourism.
Prof. Akram Rawashdeh, Dean of the Faculty, highlighted the workshop’s goal of fostering a generation of students who have the potential to become ambassadors for excellence in the tourism sector. He emphasized that such workshops promote critical thinking, self-development, and provide students with the opportunity to present their ideas to industry experts. This initiative reflects the faculty’s commitment to advancing both the academic and practical development of its students.
The interactive workshop, led by Mr. Hussam Al-Haj Eid from Jordan Falcon Travel and Tourism, included questions directed at the participating teams from both universities. Students Maysa Juma’a from Yarmouk University and Mayada from the University of Jordan stood out with their exceptional responses.
The workshop strengthens cooperation between academic institutions and provides students with valuable knowledge, skills, and a platform for networking. At the end of the event, the winning students were awarded prizes, including training opportunities at Four Seasons, Hilton Amman, and Crowne Plaza Hotel. Jordan Falcon Travel and Tourism presented a plaque to Yarmouk University’s Faculty of Tourism, which was received by Mr. Zahir Khasawneh, Assistant Dean for Student Affairs.
