The memorandum was signed by the university president, Dr. Islam Massad, and the hotel's Vice Chairman of the Board, Basel Marqa.

During the meeting, held at the university’s liaison office in Amman, Dr. Massad stated that the university aims to enhance the progress of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels by networking with the tourism and hospitality sectors. This is intended to strengthen its student training programs, allowing them to stay updated with the latest developments in these fields, and to maintain ongoing communication with employers in a way that serves both the educational process and the students of the faculty.

Dr. Massad added that the university views this memorandum with one of the leading national hotel institutions as an opportunity for students in the Hotel Management Department to undergo supervised hotel training under the academic and administrative oversight of the faculty and the hotel. This training period would culminate in the employment of distinguished students who demonstrate sufficient mastery of the required hospitality skills.

He highlighted the Faculty of Tourism and Hotel’s achievements, including its prominent academic standing locally and internationally, its attainment of the global quality certification for higher education in tourism (TedQual) from the World Tourism Organization, and Yarmouk University's advancement in the QS World University Rankings by Subject (April edition). In this ranking, the university was placed among the top 101-150 universities worldwide in the field of Tourism, Hospitality, and Leisure Management.

For his part, Mr. Marqa emphasized that Ramada Hotel, driven by its national responsibilities, always strives to utilize its resources in serving Jordanian academic institutions, viewing them as active partners in fostering development in one of the national economy’s vital sectors, tourism, and hospitality.

He added that Yarmouk University is at the forefront of Jordanian academic institutions that have significantly contributed to the national tourism and hospitality sector by supplying it with academically and practically qualified competencies. This, in turn, supports the effective contribution to the tourism and hospitality industries. He expressed hope for further collaboration to achieve mutual aspirations and goals.

This memorandum reflects the shared interest in encouraging and supporting national employment and contributing to building the professional future of students. It stipulates that students be trained in various hotel departments to acquire the necessary skills, with those completing their training successfully receiving a certificate of experience for the training period.

The memorandum also specifies that the hotel will prioritize hiring trained students from the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels at Yarmouk University, based on its needs and capabilities. Both parties agreed on the duration, days, and hours of training, as well as the appointment of an academic supervisor and a field supervisor to coordinate the training process.
