The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels brings travel agencies to the university to contract with students for the purpose of field training for students
As part of its endeavor to develop its students’ skills and enhance their practical opportunities in the tourism and travel market, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels held a fruitful meeting with the Ten Cities travel agency, during which it was agreed to held field training fro students from the Faculty in the field of tourism and travel agency work.
This meeting came based on the desire of both parties to enhance cooperation between the academic sector and the tourism sector, as the students were selected based on precise criteria that take into account academic achievement, personal skills, and the ability to adapt to the work environment.
During the meeting, the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels, Professor Dr. Akram Rawashdeh, stressed the importance of this step in enhancing the practical aspect of students, saying: “This cooperation is a unique opportunity for our students to gain practical experience that qualifies them for the labor market, and it also
reflects the college’s commitment to providing integrated education that combines theory and practice.”
For his part, the Director of the Ten Cities Travel agency Mr. Qusay Al-Zoubi, expressed his happiness with this cooperation, noting that “receiving students for training in the agency will contribute to preparing young cadres capable of contributing to the development of the tourism and travel sector, which is in line with the oagency’s vision of supporting local competencies.”."
The training period that the students will undergo will include a range of practical tasks, such as booking airline tickets, organizing internal and external trips, Hajj and Umrah, Urdunna Janah, dealing with customers, and managing hotel reservations, in addition to learning about the latest systems and technologies used in the field of tourism.
