Faculty of Tourism and Hotels Organizes a Training Workshop on “How to Write a Professional Curriculum Vitae and How to Behave During Job Interviews”

The Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized a training workshop titled “How to Write a Professional Curriculum Vitae (CV) and Job Interviews,” delivered by the Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, with the participation of 80 students from various academic programs within the faculty.

The workshop covered several topics, including the concept, purpose, and structure of a CV, along with how to prepare it correctly. It also included a detailed explanation of proper conduct during job interviews, and how both CV preparation and interview performance influence a job seeker’s chances of obtaining suitable employment opportunities.

Dean of the Faculty, Prof. Dr. Saad Al-Saad, stated that guiding students in career readiness, introducing them to CV writing methods, and teaching them how to present their skills and abilities to employers is a priority the university firmly believes in. He emphasized that the faculty is committed to implementing this through its annual action plans and awareness programs, which aim to prepare students for the labor market. He also advised students to invest their free time by participating in training workshops and becoming familiar with the realities of the job market in terms of opportunities and requirements.

Al-Saad stressed that a university degree alone is no longer sufficient to secure employment. Rather, it must be supported by a set of skills and competencies, especially given the increasing number of job seekers in contrast with limited job opportunities.

In turn, the students expressed their appreciation to the faculty administration for its cooperation and commitment to raising students’ awareness, helping them build their personalities, and preparing them for their professional futures.

The workshop was attended by the Vice Dean, Professor Dr. Fakhrieh Darabseh, Assistant Dean, Mr. Zahir Khassawneh, and a number of faculty and administrative staff members.
