"Writing Emails Professionally"
A Training Workshop Organized by the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels for its Students
Within the framework of its ongoing efforts to equip its students with practical skills, the Faculty of Tourism and Hotels organized a training workshop titled "Sending Emails Professionally" on Wednesday, November 17, 2025, in the faculty auditorium. The workshop was presented by Dr. Mohammed Abuhjeeleh, a faculty member in the Department of Tourism and Travel.
The workshop, attended by a number of the faculty's students, aimed to raise awareness about the importance of formal written communication as a fundamental part of professional skills.
At the outset of his talk, Dr. Abuhjeeleh clarified that "email is one of the most important tools for written communication within the professional framework. It is not merely a means of sending and receiving, but rather a work document that reflects the image of its sender and influences their credibility and chances of success."
The workshop focused on the practical aspect, covering how to formulate clear subject lines, write focused and professional content, while adhering to the rules of digital communication and professional correspondence etiquette, tailored to the work environment in the tourism and hospitality sectors.
This event is part of a comprehensive plan to enhance the career readiness of students and connect them with labor market standards that prioritize communication skills.
At the conclusion of the workshop, which received positive interaction from the attendees, an open discussion was held where Dr. Abuhjeeleh answered students' inquiries.
